Türkiye Innovation Week Manifesto:
Sustainable Motivation
As Türkiye Innovation Week, we focus on the motivation levels of individuals and organizations through a human-centered perspective around the “Sustainable Motivation” manifesto. The event aims to combine motivation and sustainability, exploring ways to develop new perspectives in people, culture, and business models. Throughout the event, we emphasize sustainable strategies that boost motivation, innovative thinking methods, and cultural approaches that promote lasting success.
For 12 years, we have continued to be a motivator in the innovation ecosystem, proudly implementing 14 innovation activity programs to contribute to building a fairer, more sustainable, and more inspiring future.
TİM Innovation Ecosystem
Within the framework of the Innovation Partner Countries (IPU) Program, TIM aims to encourage and support innovation, foster the development of new products, technologies, and business processes through the sharing of knowledge, experience, and resources across countries.
Launched by the Turkish Exporters Assembly to promote innovation globally and enhance international cooperation, the program organizes meetings with consulates of countries that rank high in the Global Innovation Index to facilitate collaborations between Turkish firms/institutions and their counterparts abroad. The program aims to coordinate innovation processes and facilitate cross-border knowledge and resource sharing.
The InoSuit Program was initiated by the Turkish Exporters Assembly to enhance companies' innovation management capabilities through tailored mentorship aligned with their innovation maturity. The goal is to build and strengthen innovation management infrastructures and design institutional innovation systems that align with each organization's structure, goals, and needs.
Operating since 2015 in seven provinces—İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Denizli, Gaziantep, Bursa, and Mersin—TIM-TEB Enterprise Houses steer the ecosystem with unique incubation, acceleration, and scale-up programs aimed at ensuring the sustainability and rapid growth of tech startups. To date, over 2,000 technology-oriented entrepreneurs have received support.
Thanks to its vast network and strong ties with stakeholders, TIM-TEB Enterprise House connects startups with both public and private investment groups.
Organized in collaboration with TIM-TEB Enterprise Houses, the S2C (Startup to Corporate) program supports the development of Turkey’s entrepreneurship ecosystem by creating opportunities for startups to showcase themselves and build relationships with corporations through B2B meetings.
Distinguished partnerships are formed in areas such as payment systems, materials technologies, AI, biotechnology, health tech, and innovative sustainability solutions.
The Global Innovation Index, published since 2007 by WIPO and comparing the innovation performance of 132 countries, is supported with data from the TIW Index. Turkey has climbed 14 places in the last four years, ranking 37th. Additionally, TIM is a member of the Industry Association Network of the Global Innovation Index initiated by WIPO in 2024, contributing to global policy discussions with best practices and shared experiences.
In today’s rapidly evolving competitive global environment, data-driven decision-making and tech-based strategic planning are critical for sustainable growth in exporting companies.
Masterclasses under TIW Academy focus on analyzing target markets using export intelligence and creating technology roadmaps tailored to companies.
The sessions are enriched with practical tools, case studies, and methodological approaches to help firms analyze their export potential and plan their digital transformation processes effectively.
Participants gain competencies to build a competitive edge and take strategic, tech-oriented steps.
The ECOTIM Program, launched by the Turkish Exporters Assembly, supports the establishment and development of Corporate Sustainability Systems (CSS) within exporting firms.
Over a 15-month implementation period, firms receive customized sustainability roadmaps developed and delivered by expert mentors. The program empowers companies to develop sustainability strategies aligned with their objectives and to implement supporting projects.
InovaTIM is an open innovation ecosystem formed by more than 3,000 associate and undergraduate students from 150 universities across 72 provinces.
InovaTIM members visit international science and technology hubs, participate in global competitions, receive training in innovation and technology, conduct scientific research, and offer educational programs on AI, innovation, and IoT in high schools. Key components of InovaTIM include:
• InovaTIM Innovation Competition: One of Turkey’s most comprehensive and original open innovation competitions. Students submit innovative projects through a future skills algorithm. They learn to identify problems, conduct scientific research, perform market and competitor analysis, feasibility studies, and develop prototypes.
• InovaTIM Project Teams: These teams represent Turkey in global competitions with projects such as underwater robots, Formula cars, robotics, image processing, aerospace, and software, achieving significant success.
• InovaTIM Workshops: Students participate in workshops across various disciplines, improve their knowledge, and present their work at major events like Teknofest and Türkiye Innovation Week.
• InovaTIM Mentor Program: Trained university students mentor over 10,000 high school students across Turkey in AI, IoT, and innovation, contributing to youth development in these fields.
InovaLIG, Turkey’s first innovation development program organized by TIM, aims to increase innovation-based exports, raise innovation awareness, foster innovation culture within companies, and reward best practices.
It targets both large-scale firms and SMEs. The program is structured around the IMP3rove Innovation Management Assessment Methodology, used in 17 European countries
Through InovaLIG, companies receive innovation scorecards, and the innovation leaders of the year are recognized annually. Participants complete assessments in five key categories—Innovation Strategy, Innovation Organization and Culture, Innovation Lifecycle, Innovation Resources, and Innovation Outcomes—to qualify for the competition.
To help SMEs build customized and trackable corporate sustainability systems, TIM offers a 6-month mentorship program under the TIM-TÜBİTAK Green Innovation Technology Mentorship Program.
With the On-site Mentor Model, SMEs receive weekly in-person mentorship (at least 4 hours per week). With the Digital Sustainability Platform, SMEs are matched with mentors via www.greentim.com and receive online support. TÜBİTAK covers 90% of the technical consultancy cost for companies that complete the program successfully.
The program is part of the TÜBİTAK 1831 Green Innovation Technology Mentorship Call under the Turkey Green Industry Project, coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology with support from the World Bank and KOSGEB.
Within Türkiye Innovation Week 2025, the TIW Collective Wisdom Workshop brings together diverse stakeholders to ensure the continuity of innovation-supporting activities and to expand the event’s scope in a value-driven ecosystem.
Roundtable sessions include participants from academia, private sector, government, civil society, and entrepreneurs.
The outputs and suggestions are presented by workshop speakers, documented, and used to shape the future of the innovation ecosystem in Turkey through collective intelligence.
TIW brings together foreign country representatives based in Ankara for networking and knowledge exchange in the field of innovation. The initiative supports the evaluation of possible collaboration areas through TIW Country Partnerships.
Additionally, the newly established TIM Brussels Office (opened in 2024) expands TIW’s global network development efforts.
Under TIW, the event titled “Innovation Journey with EU Funds: Strategic Steps and Supports” is restructured with the support of the Directorate for EU Affairs. It includes current EU project calls and guidance for stakeholders seeking opportunities across Europe.
TIM WINGS is an initiative launched by TIM to help women entrepreneurs access international markets, develop their institutional capacities, and improve access to financial resources.
Projects like “Supporting Women in Textile and Ready-to-Wear Sectors UR-GE Project” are implemented under the initiative. Networking events for women exporters are also planned to foster collaboration and global outreach.
